Alex and I swam at our local YMCA, here, in Goodyear, AZ today. Just last night, a 12 yr old boy was swimming laps at 8:30pm with a friend. He lost conciousness and his buddy and a poolside person and lifeguard were able to save his life! A buddy….good idea, CPR by Life guard a great idea….people around a super idea. Got to my 61st mile today after being ill for awhile. Feels good to be back!

I’m with you! Teach all kids to ALWAYS swim with a buddy!!! And sign your kids up for CPR, you never know when they will be the buddy…

I am still learning to swim myself and I always make sure there is a lifeguard on duty in the pool when I’m there.
